Prostate cancer survivor

My journey started around 2012. I was diagnosed with prostate cancer and had gone through multiple treatments since. When I had the second reoccurrence I was really lost and it was a kick in the teeth. A friend had recommended I get in touch with ONCARE MD. I felt like I was carrying the burden of the world while trying to decide what I needed to do. With my ONCARE MD oncologist, I had somebody that was going to share that load with me and who was knowledgeable, available, and who really cared.

To me, when you're sick and you have cancer and you're worried about stuff, the quicker you get answers the less wear and tear it is on you. I can't say enough good things about ONCARE MD. They made such a big difference in my life and the outlook I have on life. It's just amazing. They explain everything to you in layman's terms. When you get a blood report they go through every line and explain it to you. Every time I talk to them, I got a renewed sense of confidence that I'm going to beat it. It helped a lot with the mental part of it too because you don't go to those dark places in your mind. I think it's just given me a sense of calmness because I don't worry about it anymore. They help you mentally and physically and you'll have a cheerleader behind you. They are independent and to me they are able to give you an honest answer. They are not getting some financial reward from pointing to someone only in their employer’s network or things like that. And I feel like I'm in a good place.

We all get one chance and you got to give it the best chance you can. It's the best spent money on my medical I've ever had. Your life is priceless, you can't get another one. They just changed my life. For every person that's diagnosed- their very first call should be ONCARE MD. I've been considering starting a foundation to help people that can't afford it because I think it changes people's lives for the better when dealing with cancer.

Cervical cancer survivor

I'm Diane. I'm 69 years old. I was diagnosed with cervical cancer in the fall of 2024. That was obviously a frightening diagnosis as it would be for most people.

I have great doctors at the local cancer center, but like all medical centers I guess, they only have so much time to talk with you. I found out about ONCARE MD from my primary physicians.

Talking to my doctor at ONCARE MD throughout the whole process was really really helpful. So many things that obviously anyone without medical training doesn't know. How to evaluate the treatment options? Should I have this type of treatment or that type of treatment? Which is best in my situation? What are the side effects? What do I need to have more knowledge about?

My ONCARE MD oncologist first gave me a comprehensive overview of what to expect. It was on target and exactly the kind of advice and the kind of support that I needed. The additional support was critical in understanding what these treatments were, understanding how they were going to work, understanding what the side effects or the benefits both would be, just really important. The thing that impressed me was the availability and promptness in answering any questions. That was critical and really in-depth information too and being there when you need it. They are not only looking at reducing cancer burden, but how you can actually live your best life during treatment and long after treatment.

ONCARE MD was super helpful to me in a very stressful and frightening situation. It was worth more than I paid. They were very responsive throughout the process and there when I needed. They were able to put my mind at ease and explain exactly how things are going to work. They coordinated with my treating doctors and made sure everybody was on the same page, which was just huge. For me, it was absolutely the right decision because I needed that kind of extra support, that kind of extra information, not just the detailed medical information, but also the psychological support of having that person there on your team which made it much easier for me to handle the whole thing and made all the difference for me. I would encourage everybody who has a diagnosis to absolutely seek help with ONCARE MD because it was enormous support and a big advantage for me, to not be as frightened and be so much calmer going through that difficult time.

I'm now great. I had a clear PET scan a few months ago. No cancer. The doctors are saying no evidence of disease. We continue with followup reports and checks. So far so good. I am very glad that I worked with ONCARE MD and will continue to do so.

Prostate cancer survivor

My name is Trevor, I'm 56 currently. I was diagnosed in 2018 with prostate cancer. I went through multiple treatments and reoccurrences since then. I’ve been through several rounds of treatments before I engaged ONCARE MD, and I wish I had met them day one, when I was first diagnosed.

I've got three children that are young adults and I very much want to be a part of their weddings and their life and hopefully grandkids and all that stuff. Going through this I was scared to death.

At ONCARE MD my doctor basically walked through the whole process with me. If you don't go to med school, there's a lot that goes right over your head. The difference was having a doctor there to answer the tough questions and to actually make me feel more confident that things were going to be all right. Having somebody that's so easy to talk to, a lot of doctors don't have that, a lot of doctors you kind of feel like they're very busy. Having somebody like Dr. Levitt just makes it so much more comfortable in getting questions that you have answered. ONCARE MD was also in contact with my treating doctor. They were part of the planning. They communicated more than I communicated with my own treating doctor. So it gave me the ability to have this person, this doctor and this team that was just incredible.

It's hard to feel cared for in our healthcare system. With my other doctors you have an appointment, you come in, you answer a few questions, but you leave not really understanding what's happening next. Having the ONCARE MD doctor walk me through it gave me confidence that I'm going to be able to be healed. That if it does show up again, I have them to call. Just knowing they are there- it's a game changer.

There's so many different options for treatment. It's changing so fast and you don't want to look back and say, "Man, I really messed up, I should have done this,I should have gone this direction." A team like ONCARE MD and Dr. Levitt can prevent you from making mistakes or missing opportunities to know about all treatment options and pathways.

What's your life worth? I mean, do you want to spend time here with your family? Do you want to see your daughter or son get married? At 48, all those things were on my mind. Having somebody like this and a team like this is invaluable. I can't say enough about how much they have changed my life for the good. Just to think about a doctor being there for you in that situation is just incredible. I sent two good friends to ONCARE MD and they would both say that they saved their lives.
